Our History
A Proud Part of Bentley Since the Early 1800s
Originally known as The Hanging Gate in 1824, the pub has long been a gathering place for travellers and locals alike. The name later changed to The Horse & Jockey, reflecting the area’s long association with horses and racing.
Today, we continue that tradition, offering good food, real ales and a warm welcome to all who visit.
